Statement of Purpose

The Commission is an independent organization composed of individuals who are dedicated to helping local farm workers gain their rights to equitable wages, proper treatment in terms of fair labor practices, standard employee benefits, safe working conditions, and respect.  In essence, the Commission is an advocate for action that increases the quality of life for farm workers in the workplace, in the public school setting, in the political arena, and in the community as a whole.  It is the vision of the Commission that farm workers will someday become fully enfranchised, equitably treated, and respected members of this society.

The Commission meets Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. @ Café on A Street (438 South A Street, Oxnard, CA)
